"Transfer of Power” Death Ritual Part 2: Ritual Guide
This is a ritual to be done on or by 1/19/21 before the Inauguration. It is less complicated than it may feel at a glance but it is “big” energy, so make sure you are grounded and have good energetic capacity.
Primary Goals of Ritual:
Harness the liminal energetic potential of the 2021 inauguration and forward momentum of power transfer
Address nine areas of US government where harm and corruption have been significantly exacerbated by the latest president + administration
Target the toxic threads of factionalism, ignorance, and greed that motivate our current governing body and transform them into healing influences of unity, understanding, and generosity to motivate the incoming governing body
For this ritual, we have determined the nine areas to focus on based on the Nine Primal Forces (9PF) Axes Model of all magic and the universe. They are listed below with their corresponding areas of Harm/Corruption that have been exacerbated by the current administration.

Basic Steps for Ritual (to be completed on or before 1/19)
1. Use notecards to write out individual cards for Old Columbia, New Columbia, and each of the 9PF + Corresponding Areas of Harm/Corruption. You should end up with 11 notecards total.
2. Place the Old Columbia card in the middle of the poster board, and arrange the 9PF cards around it in a wide circle. Reserve the New Columbia card for later in the ritual.

3. If using three separate ribbons for red, white, and blue, braid them together into one long chain (probably ~6 feet). If using one ribbon that is variegated red/white/blue, then skip this step.
4. Start in the center and tack down the end of the ribbon to the central Old Columbia card, then begin winding it up and pinning/stapling it to each surrounding card, moving back and forth from the center back out to each the cards as if creating spokes of a wheel.
5. Once this is complete, recite this incantation to focus power and intention:
“We harness the liminal energetic potential of the 2021 inauguration and forward momentum of power transfer to end Old Columbia’s power so it may be transferred to New Columbia. These two goddesses have been at war for the soul of America for generations, as reflected in the enduring divide in our country between capitalism and white supremacy and the true promise of democracy and equality for all. Now more than ever, this conflict demands resolution. It is time for the dream of Old Columbia to die, so that New Columbia may step into her full power.”
6. Next, begin unwinding and unpinning the red/white/blue ribbon from each of the 9 cards, saying these words of release with each unpinning.
Old Columbia, may your toxic influences of factionalism, ignorance and greed in (area of harm/corruption - repeat for all nine) come to an end.
7. Gather the red/white/blue ribbon along with the Old Columbia card and place in a fireproof bowl. Burn to completion.
8. Place the New Columbia card in the center of the 9PF circle, and use the gold ribbon to pin and connect it to each of the 9PF cards to recreate the spokes of the wheel as before. This time as you pin each card and connect it to the center, say these words of transformation
New Columbia, may your healing influences of unity, understanding, and generosity take root and flourish in (area of harm/corruption - repeat for all nine).
9. After the inauguration ceremony is completed on 1/20, you can discard the poster board, tacks, and cards. You may keep the golden thread, now infused with positive energy, and either place it on your altar or use it as a boon in a future ritual.
Notes For Practitioners
1. We are using simple note cards w/written words, but you are welcome to add your own symbols and embellishments to this ritual to make it feel most powerful and resonant for you! For instance:
Use physical representations of each of the Nine Primal Forces such as incense for air, a stone for earth, etc. or incorporate objects like a face mask, or a button you wore at a BLM protest, or a plant that represents environmentalism
Use pictures of specific images rather than just notecards
Create a sigil, amend the incantations, or incorporate other special tools or ingredients of power that reflect your personal practice
2. We have all been personally affected by the harm and corruption of this administration, and many of us in devastating ways. If there is one primal force or area you feel most strongly connected to, feel free to focus your entire ritual on that subject. You can simplify the ritual to just use a linear connection of ribbon between the Old Columbia/New Columbia cards and the area you are focusing on, rather than creating the wheel-and-spokes approach that utilizes all Nine Primal Forces.

2.
